The North Bay Public Library has a collection of books written about the Dionne quintuplets over the years. Most of these books are found in the reference department. The most interesting component of the collection is Dr. Dafoe's scrapbooks, which can be viewed on mircofilm, but may not be reproduced.

The Callander Bay Heritage Museum is housed in Dr. Dafoe's original residence/office.
Dr. Dafoe, the world famous country doctor to the Dionne Quintuplets, lived and worked in this seven room residence from 1914 to 1943. The Dionne collections here is extensive. Dr.Dafoe's original dispensary has been preserved. His furniture, equipment and many unique photos are displayed. An entire room is devoted to the quintuplets themselves. It contains clothing, books, photos and product endorsements. One of the most unique aspects of the collection is the complete series of still photos taken while filming "The Country Doctor". There is also a sizeable collection of newspaper and magazine articles available at special request. Please contact Carol Pretty, the museum curator for further information.
